Neon to Temples – Japan's Golden Route | 8 Days

The classic first-timer's route through Japan. Eight days from Tokyo's neon streets to the foot of Mt. Fuji, from Kyoto's temples to Osaka's street food, travelling between cities by Shinkansen bullet train.

Our signature route for first-time visitors, linking Japan's most iconic stops in a single journey. Day 1 – Istanbul → Tokyo: Meet at the airport and depart on a scheduled flight. Day 2 – Tokyo: Arrival and hotel check-in. Senso-ji Temple and Nakamise shopping street in Asakusa, then Shibuya Crossing in the evening. Day 3 – Tokyo: Meiji Shrine, Harajuku and Omotesando, Ginza; optional Tokyo Skytree observation deck. Day 4 – Hakone: Owakudani volcanic valley, a boat cruise on Lake Ashi and open views of Mt. Fuji. Overnight in a traditional ryokan with onsen baths. Day 5 – Kyoto: Transfer to Kyoto by Shinkansen. The thousand vermilion torii gates of Fushimi Inari, followed by an evening walk through the Gion geisha district. Day 6 – Kyoto: Kinkaku-ji the Golden Pavilion, the Arashiyama bamboo grove and Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Day 7 – Nara → Osaka: Free-roaming deer in Nara Park and the Great Buddha at Todai-ji. Afternoon in Osaka: Osaka Castle and street food along Dotonbori. Day 8 – Osaka → Istanbul: Transfer to the airport for the return flight. Included: Scheduled flights, 7 nights' accommodation with breakfast, Shinkansen tickets, all transfers, professional guiding, entrance fees listed in the programme. Not included: Visa fees, travel insurance, lunches and dinners, personal expenses.
